The Trunkisaurus Rex is getting it’s first outing!

This week I’ve been preparing for our upcoming holiday, and packing for two trips in one is hard work, I can tell you! As well as spending some time in Cornwall with my parents, we are headed to a friend’s house for a few nights first. I don’t want to have to unpack the entire car just for a few days, so I’m attempting to be smart and sort of pack in sections.
If all goes to plan, the car boot can stay untouched when we arrive at Becky’s house, and everything we need will be sitting on the back seat next to Georgie’s car seat. This means that I am packing a sort of overnight bag for us, and Georgie is having a “overnight trunki” with everything she needs for the weekend. This is very exciting as it is her first trip with her trunki suitcase – and she gets to take two! I’m using the olympic trunki we won for all of her clothes for the rest of the trip.
We will have the changing bag with us as well, so in her Trunkisaurus Rex we have:
- Clothes, PJs, socks & vests for three days (plus spares!)
- 4 Spot the Dog little library books
- A Raa Raa the Noisy Lion book
- Selection of toys
- Pack of wipes
- 3 bibs
- Extra nappies
You really can fit a lot in a trunki! I’m planning to throw her cot toys all in a bag in the morning and put them and a sleeping bag in the car with the travel cot, along with a bag of snacks and other eating/drinking things. An overnight bag for James & myself, and we should be set for the weekend! Georgie knew exactly what to do when I finished packing the trunki…
Right, I’m off to do more packing. I have lots of lists and they seem to be pretty unending!!
