Product: Sudocrem Moisturising Mousse
Age Range: 0+
Manufacturer’s Description: There are many reasons why your child might develop dry skin, from central heating inside the house to cold, dry air outside, from chlorine in swimming pools to chemicals in washing powder and soaps. Just like adults, some babies and children are simply more prone to dry skin than others.
Our new Sudocrem Moisturising Mousse intensively hydrates skin from the moment you use it. It’s certified hypoallergenic, so you can be sure that you’re doing your best not to aggravate any existing irritation, and is free from artificial colours, perfumes, parabens and other preservatives. The mousse format makes it easy and quick to rub in so you get results fast, perfect if you have wriggling, impatient little ones.

Review: Georgie has been having some issues with dry skin (I’m afraid that would be my genes playing up!) and so when we were sent the Sudocrem Moisturising Mousse to try out I was pleased to give it a go to see whether it would be any help.
We have been using the mousse for a few weeks now, applying it straight after Georgie has had her bath every other night. I’m pleased to report that it seems to have done a great job to keep her skin moisturised and scale-free. Before we started using it she had some dry patches on one of her legs and these seem to have cleared up nicely.
When the first signs of eczema started to appear last year, we took Georgie to the doctor who prescribed an aqueous cream to use on her skin. However it is difficult to get her to stay still long enough to rub it in as it doesn’t spread or soak in easily, and she quite often wriggles away from you before you have done more than half a leg!
Thankfully, that problem doesn’t happen with the sudocrem mousse, as it rubs in super easily & quickly – I have time to get in rubbed in before Georgie squirms away! She was never a huge fan of baby massage and once she learnt to roll over keeping her skin moisturised became a bit of a battle.
This mousse is really great – a little bit seems to go a loooong way and it doesn’t feel greasy or sticky at all, which is something I really love about it. Her skin is feeling very soft and super smooth after the two weeks of consistent application, and I think if we continue using it religiously we should be able to avoid any dry skin issues.
At £15.00 it is a little expensive, but the FAQ on their website says this should be good for 75 golf ball sized blobs, which I think would mean it would last about two months at the rate we use it. The price isn’t a huge deal more than other top brand moisturisers, and I think the fact that it seems so much easier to apply than creams or oils definitely gives it some advantage over them, as well as being lighter on her skin.
Georgie has quite delicate skin so it’s nice to find a product that works really well for her, as some of the best known products we have tried can sometimes be a bit too harsh for her skin. We will definitely be getting more of this mousse in the future, so it’s a solid 5 star rating for this one!
