Introducing Squidge!
We have some exciting news to share…
…we’re having a baby!!
As you can imagine, we are over the moon in the Mama Geek household! Squidge, as it has already become affectionately known, is due on 25th February 2013.
I was 12 weeks pregnant on Monday, and the weeks are flying past! In comparison with my first pregnancy I have had quite a rough first trimester and am still having quite a few problems keeping food down. Despite my waistbands already getting tight I’m actually losing weight because I’m hardly eating any food!
This also explains why things have been a little quiet here for the last month… I’m afraid I have been napping when I should have been blogging. I’m getting caught up now though and have some fun (and some geeky!) reviews lined up.
My dating scan was this afternoon and I’m pleased to report that everything was fine – the baby behaved perfectly for the scan and posed rather nicely for it’s photograph!
Georgie will be around 22 months old when Squidge arrives, which is an age gap we’re really pleased with. She is a bit of a mother hen when other babies are crying, always getting worried about whether they are ok or not, so it will be fun to see what she is like with a new baby in the house!
Bizarrely, they have a gnome garden at the hospital which was the high point of the visit today in Georgie’s eyes… she was fascinated! Needless to say, the ultrasound was the high point for us parents!

Yey! Congratulations
There are 20 months between my boys and it’s hardwork once the LO is on the move but they’re playing together more and more and it’s so cute when they give each other cuddles.
So many ladies I know are pregnant at the moment but I’m not getting broody…honest!

Haha! I think that it’s such a perfect age gap with the playing together thing, I really want them to be able to relate to each other and things
I was getting SO broody as soon as Georgie stopped looking so much like a baby! As soon as she was toddling about I really missed having a teeny baby!

Congratulations, I think 22 months is a lovely age gap, they’ll be able to play together when they’re older. I had all mine close together, the first few years were hard work, but I wouldn’t have had it any other way.
