It’s time to sign off for a few days to enjoy Christmas with my family, so I just wanted to pen a quick post to wish all our readers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! 2017 has been a bit of a barmy one, let’s face it… here’s to a great 2018 and happy holidays to all! Year: 2017
November in a Minute (2017)
The year is nearly over and I’ve finally done my November in a Minute video (what can I say, the last month has been hectic and I lost over a week to tonsillitis, which made me feel very sorry for myself indeed).… Continue Reading “November in a Minute (2017)”
What’s in our 2017 Christmas Eve box?
We might not do a lot in the lead up to Christmas other than visiting Santa (no elves here!) but since the girls were tiny we have given them a box of treats on Christmas Eve. This year we’ll be giving them their box after lunch so that they can do some of the activities in the afternoon to keep them busy and quiet! We… Continue Reading “What’s in our 2017 Christmas Eve box?”
October in a Minute (2017)
I sat down earlier this week to do my seriously overdue November in a Minute and realised that in all the crazy busy-ness of November I didn’t get round to October… so here it is: We had a busy month in October – dancing with Ashley Banjo, into the city to see the bears, soft play with family, Disney on Ice, and a busy half… Continue Reading “October in a Minute (2017)”
Stocking fillers for little girls
So, I have this issue about the “stocking fillers” category on shopping sites, and I get irrationally angry about it. I happily browse the internet for ideas of what to buy in the lead up to Christmas, and click on the stocking fillers link, only to find a bunch of stuff that is WAY TOO BIG to actually fit into your average size stocking. In… Continue Reading “Stocking fillers for little girls”

Getting crafty with LEGO advent calendar packaging
We were set a challenge to create something from the packaging of our LEGO Star Wars advent calendar, and the girls had a great time cutting, colouring, and sticking to create some fab masterpieces!… Continue Reading “Getting crafty with LEGO advent calendar packaging”
Snowed in & poorly!
The last week and a half have been a bit crazy here in Birmingham. We are living in one of the most heavily affected areas by the recent snow storms, and I think we are just lucky that we didn’t have to deal with any power cuts. Georgie and Lydia were off school on Friday 8th after some heavy snow overnight, and then on Saturday… Continue Reading “Snowed in & poorly!”

Visiting Santa at House of Fraser
The girls and I were invited along to House of Fraser for the launch of their 2017 Santa’s grotto, which is raising money for Action for Children. The waiting area for children queueing up to visit Santa is beautiful, with gorgeous trees, animatronics, and wonderfully spray painted scenes on the walls. Surrounding the grotto are ‘olde worlde’ shop windows with different things to see, including… Continue Reading “Visiting Santa at House of Fraser”
