A few weeks ago we headed to one of our local farms, Lizzie’s Farm, for Open Farm Sunday. We visited a farm last year too, and I think we will be marking Open Farm Sunday in our calendars for next year, too.
Once a year farms up and down the country open up their doors (gates?) for the public to visit and meet their animals, and see what they get up to on the farm.
Lizzie’s Farm had some wonderful animals and the girls loved seeing them all, eating a ginger biscuit at the tea room, and trying the tractor on for size. Lydia managed to hand feed a cow and enjoyed the tractor horn a little bit too much, and Georgie wanted to take a rabbit home with us.
