Last week we had a lovely 5 day holiday in Dorset, staying at the Rockley Park Haven holiday park, near Poole. We were incredibly lucky with the weather, especially as when we were packing to go on Sunday the forecast was saying it was going to rain every day!
There were plenty of yummy meals at cafes, a visit to a soft play centre, a couple of geocaches found, a swim in the pool, relaxed afternoons in the caravan while Lydia napped, ice creams devoured, and lots and lots of sliding! Georgie definitely filled her slide rota for the week, going to at least one park almost every day – the only day she didn’t get to go down a slide was Friday when it was bucketing it down with rain most the morning, and we headed home that afternoon.
We even got to go to the beach one morning, it was so nice. I dipped my toes into the sea and the girls had great fun building sandcastles. Lydia loved running about on the sand. Following the excellent advice of local blogger Kara (aka ChelseaMamma) we headed to Sandbanks beach for the morning, and it was really lovely. A definite holiday highlight!
I certainly feel rejuvenated and much happier in myself after our break, and my little time out from intensive blogging, too. We are going to have a quiet few weeks now so I can do some work, catch up on some blogging, and maybe even tackle some house work… perhaps!
