I was invited to a birthday party earlier this week, on a school night no less! On Wednesday I headed to the fabulous Island Bar in Birmingham city centre for an evening of cocktails, cake, and fun.
FloridaTix is ten! To celebrate ten yeas of selling tickets to Orlando, they invited a group of lovely bloggers to join them at their birthday party. It was a fantastic evening with lots of Disney, Universal, and Florida related fun.
It was great to catch up with some local bloggers, and I definitely enjoyed my fair share of seriously delicious (and flaming!) cocktails, plus an incredible cake which tasted as good as it looked.
As well as capturing the perfect #SnapeSelfie with a life-size cardboard cutout, and being challenged to find all ten #HiddenMickeys dotted around the bar, we all formed teams of three and attempted a pub quiz. Unusually, I actually knew a lot of the answers – due entirely to the fact there were a lot a Disney questions in there and I am a big fan!
Lydia was delighted to raid my goody bag in the morning – she is a big Minnie Mouse fan and carried around her new Minnie soft toy all day. I’m a very happy owner of a Minnie Mouse biro now too, woohoo – that makes this Disney/stationery nerd very happy indeed 🙂
It was a great evening, with good company and a lot of fun. It was great to learn more about the Florida parks, their ticket packages, and get to know the team a bit too. We would love to go to one of the Disney parks, when the kids are a bit older and would get the most out of it.
Oh what a great night! We have been saving £50 a month since LP was born to go to Florida when she’s 10 but we’ve just increased the standing order to hopefully go in 2017/2018. I cannot wait! x
