On Sunday we headed down to London to spend the afternoon at the Museum of Childhood. We were guests of HP, invited to come and try out the great ways they are combining traditional crafting with their fab technology.
Upon arriving, we were treated to a lovely lunch with plenty of tasty treats to tempt the children into eating a good lunch before we headed to our first activity. The blogging families were all split into groups so that we all got to try out the different activities in turn – it was really well organised and the staff were all really friendly and helpful too.
We had great fun trying all of the activities. There was an easter egg hunt with a twist – we were handed a HP tablet to find and take photos of paper easter eggs hidden around the garden and room, which was a nice idea – Georgie really loved it.
We had fun making a photo cube printed using the HP Photo Creations app that you can download and install on your computer, to print at home. Ours had a photo of the girls with my Grandma and some Easter graphics too.
Other activities included Easter crafts using the free Snapfish printables you can download and print out at home, and HP Connected printables that you can print directly via your HP printer too.
As you could be expected there were plenty of HP products around the room for us to try out and enjoy. We may have fallen slightly in love with the HP Pavilion x360 laptop which converts from a laptop into a tablet, utilising a touch screen and very bendy hinge! James has been looking for a laptop to replace the MacBook Pro I stole acquired from him when mine died, and this was a considerably cheaper option than buying a MacBook Air which was his previous top choice! Not ones to hang about too long, a HP x360 has been ordered and is on it’s way to us in the next few days… oops.
Georgie and Lydia even got to dress up as bunny rabbits for a mini photoshoot! I am looking forward to seeing the photos and ordering a memento from Snapfish to remember our fun day.
*please note: if Georgie, or any of our creations for that matter, look rather chocolatey in the photos that accompany this post, blame HP. Our girls thought they were wonderful as they kept them well supplied with chocolate throughout the afternoon! Well, they had to have something to put in their Easter baskets… 😉
