Georgie had some very exciting post last week; an Easter Egg decorating kit that was generously sent to her to have fun with. HRS UK sent the kit as part of their parent blogger Easter competition, so fingers crossed we might even win something nice!
As soon as she saw what was inside the parcel she wanted to get stuck in and decorate her chocolate egg. The minute that Lydia was down for her nap, I was made to make good on my “as soon as Lydie is asleep” promise, and sit her down at the table with everything ready to go.

I zapped the chocolate buttons in the microwave, doing 10 seconds at a time with stirs in between as advised, to make chocolate glue, and then we began to decorate the large flat egg with the wonderful variety of sweets we had been given. Georgie cottoned on to the idea straight away and was soon happily painting the egg with melted chocolate to stick on her edible decorations.
Of course, there had to be some sampling involved to make sure it was all nice & yummy!
As you can probably tell, Georgie definitely subscribes to the theory that “more is more” when it comes to decorating a chocolate egg with sweets.
Our little girl was very proud of her creation.

It would have been wasteful to throw away the last few sweets and blobs of melted chocolate, so this seemed like a good idea to round off the afternoon!

Thanks so much to HRS UK for the kit!
