I am pleased to report that we had an enjoyable Father’s Day yesterday, although a skipped nap meant we had a grumpy toddler towards the end of the day!
Georgie was very sweet and handed over James’s cards and gifts one at a time in the morning… and then tried to steal them back before he could open them! He was really pleased with his card and his gifts, yay!

I chose Georgie chose some goodies from The Chocolate Library & a personalised card for her Daddy’s second ever Father’s Day, and James also got a love2read “My daddy…” book which we will be reviewing very soon.
The Andy Riley “Great Lies to tell Small Kids” book is absolutely hilarious, and the nag notes were too funny to resist putting in my basket on the The Chocolate Library
We were treated to a very yummy lunch by my mother in law Ruth, at the Coach and Horses Inn near Weatheroak. Ruth’s godmother Sheelagh was staying with some friends nearby so we were making the most of the opportunity so that she could see how Georgie was doing, and James too – he hadn’t seen her since he was a teenager!
The afternoon was spent back at Ruth’s house, chatting & doing some things on her laptop for her, while Georgie ran around emptying all the dog beds of their bedding and playing with the dogs. She felt the need to climb in to each dog bed herself & have a little sit down to try them out for size! Rather excitingly, James & his Mum ordered my birthday present from them & a few other family members – and I get to have it early! I am very excited to get my new toy 🙂

Once we got home we tried to get Georgie fed & in bed as soon as possible as she was turning into Super Grump after skipping her nap, and then collapsed in bed shortly after ourselves! It was a great day & I hope everyone else had a lovely day too 🙂
