Dot&Co Organic Reversible Raspberry Pink Trousers

Review: We were sent a pair of these gorgeous organic cotton trousers to review for Lydia, and I am so disappointed that she has started to grow out of them this month!

The trousers are reversible, meaning that you get two looks for the price of one. One way around they have pink & white stripes, while the other side is a solid raspberry pink. Little details make them extra cute; the stripy side has a faux fly with popper detail, the solid side has pockets with the stripy material peeping out, and both sides have a back pocket complete with embroidered bird. The visible pink stitching looks great too, and we’ve had no problems with it unravelling or anything like that.

They came well packaged, wrapped in tissue paper inside an attractive & strong postage bag. You could easily order a pair of these as a gift and send them straight to the recipitent.

These trousers are perfect for a crawling baby as they are super comfy and Lydia found them very easy to manoeuvre about in. They have an elasticated waistband which fitted Lydia’s round tummy nicely, and did the job of keeping the trousers up!

They are nice and thick to keep your baby’s legs warm – which is really important when they are crawling about on the cold floor! I do find that trousers are much more practical than skirts or dresses for babies just learning to find their feet.

If they are too long to begin with, you can roll up the bottom of the trousers. The reversible fabrics look great when rolled up like this, as the solid fabric is very attractive next to the striped fabric, and visa versa.

The sizing seems spot on; we received them when Lydia was around 7 months old and they were just a little long, and she is just growing out of them now with a few weeks to go before her birthday. Lydia is slightly above average weight for her age, and we have been moving her into 12-18 clothes since the start of the month.

We found that these trousers looked great with loads of Lydia’s tops and vests, and she has worn them absolutely loads. She has slept in them quite happily at nap times, crawled, climbed and walked in them, and generally tested them out very thoroughly.

They have washed really well, and by now have had dozens of trips through the machine with no visible fading or bobbling. Lydia is weaning and has eaten some really messy meals in them too… every time we have been fine just chucking them into the washing machine without pre-treatment for stains, and they have come out the other end looking good as new. We also tumble dried them quite often with no visible shrinking.

I think that £17.00 is a reasonable price considering that they are made from such a very soft organic cotton, look great, are obviously very comfortable, and you have the ability to reverse them to get a different look.

We give the Dot&Co reversible trousers 5 stars, Lydia and I have both loved them! I just have to resist buying them in the next size up now she is growing out of them 😉
