Manufacturer’s Description: HYPE’s brand-new Back to School 2025 collection – a full range of statement school essentials designed to tick every box. For this collection, HYPE has doubled down on what makes the brand instantly recognisable – drawing from bestselling styles and tapping into the fashion trends their audience already loves. Bold motifs like sharks and graffiti lead the charge for boys, while dreamy pastels, glitter accents, and tropical themes stand out for girls. Graffiti and doodle prints underscore the brand’s core message of self-expression, while puff placements and conversational prints keep things tactile and on-trend. Gender-neutral appeal remains key, with older kids and teens gravitating towards fresh, expressive styles that blend fashion with function. It’s a bold collection that captures everything HYPE stands for – standout design, self-confidence, and individuality.

Review: The summer is racing by and the girls are headed back to school next month, which of course means it is time to do our ‘Back to School’ shopping. HYPE sent us some of their Summer 2025 range to check out, and both Georgie & Lydia are delighted with their newest designs.

The girls have been using HYPE backpacks since their last few years of primary school, when they needed a decent bag to carry their books and other essentials. As they entered high school, they seemed to need fifty million things crammed into their bags, so they really put their backpacks through their paces!
We’ve found that HYPE bags are definitely some of the longest-lasting bags to withstand the abuse that our two high school students seem to inflict. In the past, we bought an unbranded, similar ‘knock-off’ type design, but the busted zips, split seams, and torn straps that all backpacks get towards the end of their life appeared much earlier. I’m not saying that a HYPE bag will last forever, but they definitely outlast the cheaper competition we’ve tried in the past.

In addition to being well-made, HYPE bags look great. Georgie and Lydia’s school is strict on uniform, even to the point of requiring a plain black coat and absolutely no jewellery. One of the only ways to display their colourful personalities is through their school bags and water bottles. They’ve always loved how colourful and fun HYPE bags look, and there always seems to be a design for every type of personality. The new Blue Jellyfish design is perfect for Georgie, who loves sea creatures and all shades of blue, while Lydia adores the more feminine ‘girly girl’ designs she was sent.
HYPE backpacks now come with an internal laptop compartment and a bottle holder as standard, which are really useful features. The girls both take water bottles to school, so being able to access them quickly without having to dig around in their bags is ideal. The straps also include reflective fabric down the centre, which is a great safety feature for walking home in the dark after school.

The two backpacks we were sent have unique detailing, both featuring the HYPE branding in different ways. Lydia’s Floral Doodle bag has a fluffy pompom keychain which she adores.
As well as the backpacks, the girls were gifted with a water bottle and lunch box each. Georgie’s Blue Jellyfish design maxi lunch box comes with a detachable shoulder strap, which is great if you only need to have the lunch box with you. This means you don’t have to worry about an extra bag and is ideal for a school trip. Both insulated lunch boxes also have a bottle holder on the side, perfect for popping their water bottles in.

The HYPE 500ml water bottles are just as good-looking as the bags and lunch boxes. They’re insulated stainless steel, keeping drinks cool (or hot!) for hours. These are my favourite style of water bottle; they never leak, don’t break if dropped, and seem to keep water cold for hours. The different designs are fun, and I love the way the HYPE logo is engraved into the lids. They’re a good size to get the girls through the school day and fit perfectly into the bottle holders on the bags and lunch boxes.

This is the first time we’ve tried any HYPE products other than the backpacks, and we’ve been thoroughly impressed with the quality, functionality, and stylish design of their lunch boxes and water bottles. They’re just as good as the bags that the girls have loved using for the past few years.
I particularly like the option to save money by buying a bundle deal to completely kit out your child for school. If the school allowed decorative pencil cases, I’d definitely be ordering new ones to match their bags, but alas, they’re forced to use clear ones!

We give the HYPE Summer 2025 range five stars.
