So, I haven’t blogged in over two and a half weeks. That’s a lifetime in blogland, is it not?!
The truth is, there has just been too much going on and my blog has been at the bottom of a todo list that has been hard to get through.
Georgie turned 5 at the start of the month, and we went to Manchester for the weekend for BlogOn (which was awesome) and also to visit Legoland Discovery Centre and Sea Life. Lots to blog about from just those three days alone – needless to say Georgie adored her birthday weekend! I think I got through on a mix of adrenaline, caffeine & sugar.

All four of us have been ill, and I definitely got the worst of it. After spending nearly a week looking after poorly kids, I ended up spending a few days feeling wretched with a sick bucket by my side. Of course, being ill and missing loads of sleep also makes my headaches and migraines so much worse too.
I recovered and limped through the Blog On weekend, before getting a bad cold which led to a chest infection – so now I am on antibiotics and carrying around an inhaler as my breathing can get super wheezy. After 4 days of ignoring my worsening symptoms I eventually gave up and went to the doctors – only to be told she barely even needed to listen to my chest as she could hear how bad I was just by my breathing.

My parents, who spent 3 months in New Zealand and just got back, spent a few nights with us so my Dad could attend a training course nearby. We spent a morning wandering around the Nature Centre at a slow pace with my Mum, and the girls loved having their Grandparents here for a day or so – but I was pretty much wiped out by the time they left on Sunday morning!

Needless to say, getting the girls to school/pre-school, as well as little things like getting Lydia to her hospital appointment, and doing things like feeding them and trying to keep at least a little bit on top of the house work have meant my blog has slipped down the priorities list. Work has had to be put on hold too and my emails are piling up – I have barely been on my laptop for weeks, argh! It’s going to be tough getting through it all (with a lot of apologies to hand out!) when I get back to my desk properly… hopefully in a few days. Lets hope these antibiotics get the job done.
Anyway, that’s why it’s been radio silence on here, and fairly quiet on my social media accounts too. I’ve been too busy feeling sorry for myself and then coughing my guts up!
Sorry you’ve been feeling so poorly, you’ve still managed to fit so much in though. I hope you are well enough to catch up without much stress xx
Oh gosh! Sorry you have been so unwell. I hope you feel better soon x
Hope that you feel better soon, love your apron!
