I’ve mentioned Poppy Sparkles on my blog before, when James bought me a gorgeous birthstone necklace to represent our family, for Mother’s Day.
Today I wanted to write a blog post to share with you a few special gifts I have bought for family members recently, and some of my other favourite things from Poppy Sparkles. I also have a discount code to offer you, so read on for that!
For my mum’s birthday, I asked Viv to make a custom version of her simple 3 birthstone bracelet, substituting a freshwater pearl for the middle birthstone. On one side of the pearl is a Amethyst Swarovski crystal, representing February for Lydia, and on the other an Emerald one, to represent our May Day baby Georgiana. I think the colours work really beautifully together and the simple design of the bracelet is really effective. My Mum really liked it (or at least that’s what she said!)
My sister celebrated her birthday last week, and I knew exactly what I wanted to give her. She has a little girl who turns three next month, Georgie’s only cousin (so far!), and so I wanted to give her some jewellery with Izzy’s birthstone.
Jennie loves to wear earrings, so I chose a pair of birthstone post earrings with gorgeous Sapphire crystals to represent Isabelle’s September birthday. I thought it was great that Viv offers several styles of earrings, as post ones are so much more practical than ear hooks when you’re chasing after a toddler and you don’t want to worry about them falling out!
I’m really drawn to the designs of Poppy Sparkles jewellery and could window shop on her etsy site all day. The prices are so reasonable too, it makes it hard to resist!
I don’t wear a lot of jewellery so I love for the pieces I do wear to be meaningful, and the use of birthstones to represent family members really appeals to me. The Swarovski crystals that Viv uses in her jewellery are absolutely stunning…
Here are some of the things I have my eye on at the moment:
Viv is always up for doing custom designs too, so if you want something completely unique, or a twist on one of her items, just get in touch with her – she’s always really helpful. Check out her blog for contact details and inspiration; she posts loads of photos of her “bespoke sparkles” and I have to admit I lust after about half of them!
