Hi, my name is Zoe Corkhill and I’ve decided to start this blog as a way to chronicle my new life as a Mum! My husband & I already have a ‘family blog’ that we try and keep up to date about our life but I wanted somewhere a little more mummy-orientated to talk about different baby related topics – as well as somewhere to review new products, maybe even do the occasional giveaway, that sort of thing! This way I get to natter on about the new life experiences & different baby things I am discovering, without boring everyone who reads our family blog but wouldn’t be interested!
So, a little bit about me to get us started.. I am 26 years old, and my little girl Georgiana (Georgie) Alice Corkhill was born on 1st May this year. She is now just over 4 months old and thriving! I married my husband James in December 2008, and we have recently moved to Halesowen, which is near Birmingham, UK.
Now then, what else to put in my first post? Some random information… At the moment Georgie is exclusively breastfed, is just starting to teethe, and is generally a very well behaved and ‘easy’ baby – James and I are very lucky parents! Her favourite toys at the moment are her dolly, her monkey teething blankie & her beloved elephant comforter, as well as the lullaby light up lamb that lives on the side of her crib. At the last check (a few weeks ago now), she weighed 5.79kg, or 12lb 12.2oz.
I am adoring being a mummy, and am completely in love with my baby girl. I hope that I can use this blog to record her development and chat about the various joys, difficulties, dilemmas and experiences that motherhood brings. I hope that people enjoy reading it as much as I know I will enjoy writing it!
