A few weekends ago, we spent our Sunday afternoon checking out a local farm. Open Farm Sunday is a yearly event where farmers open up their farms to the public, so people can find out more about farming.
We visited Attwell Farm, home of Olympus Foods. They had a number of activities on, including meet the animals and vehicle displays.
The girls adored exploring the farm yard, investigating the tractors and farm machinery, jumping around on bales of straw, and meeting all the different animals – including a whole load of adorable baby chicks. We met my Mother in Law there, and the girls loved showing their Granny everything they had discovered.
Next year’s Open Farm Sunday is 11th June 2017. I’ve already added it to our calendar!
