Age Range: 4 to 7 years
Manufacturer’s Description: Horse feeding playset – Our Trakehner foal loves fresh carrots – just like his daddy, the Trakehner stallion. Whenever his friend comes to see him in his stable with a tasty treat, he’s so happy and excited that he paws the ground with his hooves! He eats everything she’s brought straight from her hand before they head off for gallop around the paddock.
Eventing rider – The rider has bought a beautiful new saddle and a top-quality bridle for the eventing tournament. Nothing else can go wrong now – it’s her “big day”!
Review: Georgie and Lydia both enjoy playing with toy figurines; being really imaginative children they can always spin stories with their toys, and Schleich toys are perfect for this.
We were sent the Horse feeding playset and Eventing rider to review, and the girls have been having fun playing with both of the sets together.
The Horse feeding playset includes 6 fence panels that clip together, a horse, a foal, 2 bales of hay, hay rack, 2 bunches of carrots, and a girl figurine. The Eventing rider set includes a horse, rider, saddle & bridle.
All of the figures are beautifully hand-painted with excellent detail and true-to-life colours. They are high quality and they even depict a particular breed in the case of the feeding set, not just generic “horse”.
Georgie and Lydia enjoyed making their horses ride around, munch on carrots and hay, take off & put on the saddle and bridle, and so on, as they played together with them… With a running sound track of their “neigh” impressions!
These Schleich sets would be an ideal gift for any horse mad children, or indeed any who (like my pair) enjoy small world play. They aren’t the cheapest toys in the world, but you get what you pay for and they are so well made & detailed. 5 stars.
