I have been feeling in need of a chocolate fix lately and so when I tried Jo’s rocky road at a local NCT sale recently I was dying to whip up a batch to nibble at home. The recipe is based on one of Nigella Lawson’s creations and can be found on Jo’s foodie website.
The rocky road is really easy to make; you just need a set of scales, a saucepan, a tray & a fridge – there is no baking involved! Apart from the large quantity of chocolate required you probably even already have all the ingredients in your cupboard, so this gives you a perfect excuse to buy some big bars of the stuff… If you’re anything like me you’ll probably overbuy on the CDM because “it’s better value” and end up with some left over as an extra bonus! 😛
I have had a few chunks of the stuff now (and so has James, not to mention a certain small person who keeps trying to steal bits) and I can safely say that it is utterly scrumptious!!
