Rating: (5/5 stars) Review: We were sent a medium Ellen Donut Bed in grey, and a large Ellen Dog Mattress in pink to review, as well as a Noodle Drying Towel. With two dogs in the house we need plenty of spots for them to curl up and have a rest in, and these beds are perfect for that. Homily is 15 this year, and as she gets older all she wants to do is sleep all day! She adores these Ellen beds. The Ellen range is made with super soft faux fur, and filled with a very comfortable 100% recycled fibre filling, with a coloured tweed cover. Even the Scruffs logo on the outside of the bed is soft and comfortable. Both types of bed come in medium and large, and in the colours grey, tan, and pink. They can be machine washed on a delicate cycle – thanks to our elderly dog starting to have the odd accident we have tested this with both beds and they survive the ordeal just fine. We dried both the beds flat on our heated airier and they dried quickly & stayed soft and comfortable for the dogs. The large pink mattress is in our bedroom so that Gypsy and Homily can share it together, on the nights that Gypsy doesn’t steal a spot on our bed! They both fit on it comfortably and really like to curl up together there. At a metre wide it’s a lovely big mattress which makes it perfect, not just for our dogs to share, but also for even the largest of dog breeds – as evidenced by Lydia getting on there with them to give ‘her doggies’ a cuddle! The medium donut bed is also a perfect for either of our Norwich Terriers – they love to snuggle right down with their chin resting on the edge of the bed, and since it is in the living room – watch the TV! Both the beds have a non slip base which stops them from moving around when energetic dogs jump in and out of them. This makes them suitable for use all round the house, on tiled or laminate flooring in addition to carpets. We were also sent the Noodle towel which is a bit like a double oven glove, covered in micro fibre noodles which increase the towel surface area and soak up water like lots of little sponges. The towel is really easy to use, you slip your hands in each end of the towel, and then wrap your hands around your soggy doggy, and rub them dry. We’ve tried it out on a very damp Homily and it worked a treat. As you can tell, Homily and Gypsy really enjoy these beds – as for the towel it was more of a ‘she tolerated’ it situation – but James and I approved of it! We give 5 stars for the Scruffs Ellen range & the towel.
