BritMums have posted another two fab blog prompts this week, and I’ve decided to go ahead and answer the personal prompt for the week. The prompts this week are all about pleasure, with the personal prompt being:
If I could have ONE whole day to myself, I would…
Now, I was going to be all well behaved and answer this question with “… get on with the housework without interruptions and make the house all tidy & clean for a change”. But then I changed my mind, because after all this is about fantasy and pleasure, after all… not doing what I should do, but what I want to do instead!
I’m afraid it’s not really a very exciting answer, or even one that involves me leaving the house to have a grand adventure or pamper day (ugh – I am such a bad girl, I really don’t get pampering, make up and all that malarky).
In fact, my day would go something like this… wake up late and have coffee and a sausage sandwich in bed, then take my duvet downstairs and camp out on the sofa for the day with my iPhone, laptop and snacks!
I have a couple of PS3 games I got for my birthday back in July that I haven’t even started playing yet, and I could have some uninterrupted Glitch time as well – I’ve hardly played it in the last few days now I’m feeling better (and therefore well enough to do housework!) I’d have something scrumptious for lunch and watch a film, then order in chinese for dinner. Early to bed to curl up with a hot drink and a book before sleep!
I have to say though… I think I’d miss Georgie too much to really enjoy it! And there’s also the fact I’d have to express periodically throughout the day in order to feel comfy – not that fun really! Maybe sometime James could give me an evening off though.. I could express some milk, order some yummy takeaway and chill out on the sofa for 5 or 6 hours while he deals with the baby for the rest of the day! A girl can dream…
