A Day Out at Dudley Zoo

Home Chit Chat A Day Out at Dudley Zoo

My mother in law Ruth decided to treat James, Georgie & myself to a day at the zoo today, and so we ignored the grey skies and my poorly tum, and set out to visit the animals!

Georgie was really well-behaved despite her teething troubles – although admittedly we did give her some calpol to help ease the pain before we set off! She was wide awake for most of the afternoon, and only had a short nap in the pushchair while we were walking around the zoo. She woke up in time to see the chimps and monkeys, and also to walk through the farm section where she got to pet a goat and a guinea pig.

For the first time, we attached reins to our child and let her toddle about which she found completely hilarious! She was grinning her face off and giggling the entire time she was out of the pushchair & either clinging onto our hands or (let’s face it) being held upright by the reins like some sort of puppet baby.

Time for some play! (someone needs to tell Georgie to keep her hands on the wheel when driving)

All in all a lovely family day out, despite the slightly miserable weather. Georgie had a lovely long nap when we got home, all the excitement wore her out!
