Our April: family time, egg hunts, and animals!
We had a good two week break this Easter, and in particular had a busy few days over the Easter weekend, with time spent with family, lots of Easter egg hunting, and a lovely day out at the farm.
On Easter Saturday we headed to Packwood House which is one of our closest National Trust properties. Every year we do one of the Cadbury Easter Egg Hunts, and we try to visit new NT places each time. The Packwood House trail was done along their Welly Walk which is a very child friendly walking trail, complete with lots of interesting things like dens along the way.
Easter Sunday was spent at home – I put an Easter Egg hunt together for the girls in the garden which they really loved, with plastic eggs full of treats, both edible and non-edible. I cooked up a big roast lamb dinner which was scrumptious, even if I do say so myself.
On the Easter Monday we headed to a local farm and spent the day enjoying the animals, I will definitely blog more about our day out there. It was the first time James and I had visited this farm and we all really enjoyed it.
I’m still struggling a little to get used to the increased fatigue due to my medication, not to mention not being allowed caffeine and sleeping badly for a few nights, so I was exhausted after our busy week! The last week of the school holiday was much more relaxed and I got to rest a lot, yay.
