This morning James, Georgie & I – along with my lovely pregnant friend Gayle – went to the local NCT nearly new sale and snagged some great bargains!
While James and Gayle queued to pay, Georgie and I had a little rest and sat down to join in with a Tiny Talk taster session which was great fun – I’m really quite tempted to try out the local class if we can manage it financially – maybe once James starts his new job we can earmark some funds for some classes for Georgie 🙂
We spent just over £20 at the sale and managed to get:
- 2 summer grobags (I’m not a brand snob but proper grobags tend to be longer than supermarket brand sleeping bags that Georgie grows out of really quickly!)
- A summer waterproof coat for Georgie – it’s fab and I am really happy we found it, I’ve been looking for a decent one for ages. The one we found is lightweight, tucks away into a built-in bag & has one of those hoods that fold into the collar – perfect!
- A booster seat to go on one of our dining room chairs so she can sit up at the table with us… my little baby looks all grown up sat up to the big table!
- A dolly, along with it’s own grobag and moses basket. This has been a big hit already, Georgie has hardly put it down all day.
- A book with fuzzy felt type animals to put on each page, a super cute something that James slipped into our shopping bag without me knowing 🙂
- And lastly, a fleece all in one with cartoon rockets on!
Not a bad haul 🙂
After we went to the sale we headed to the pub for a lovely leisurely lunch – I had a delicious steak & bbq ribs followed by a scrumptious “millionaire shortbread cake”, while Georgie enjoyed her chicken nuggets & veg… and she definitely loved the chocolate sponge cake we treated her to! We had to change her top before we left the pub though, otherwise there would have been chocolate ALL over the car!

Willow had her first ever big girls meal out today. She had a toddler Nuggets meal, such a good idea for pubs to sell toddler food! I have been following your blog for a good few months now and I am loving reading your posts – I am quite the geek too, I love the idea that Georgie has a computer in her room, not so impressed that its an iMac though, Apple aren't our best friends! 🙂 xx

I love eating out with Georgie although you do have to ignore the mess and just hope that you can pick the worst up and that the staff will forgive you for food that has managed to mush itself into the carpet!
I love the NCT sales! We spent £60 at our first one and got a like-new cot bed AND a load of other stuff 🙂
No wonder Georgie liked that cake! Looked scrummy x
