We have been invited to join the Now TV Blog Squad and chat about what we are watching using the service here on the blog. We’ve actually been Now TV customers for over a year now, and prefer it to other services we’ve tried as you get the latest films so quickly after release – and SO many Disney and Pixar films too! That was the real clincher for me – I’m a Disney addict.
We’ve been given a 3 month subscription to Now TV as part of our Blog Squad membership, and any links to Now TV on my blog will be affiliate links as part of the scheme.
So, what have we been watching?
Recently I have been enjoying Switched at Birth on the entertainment package, which is a amusing and socially interesting show about a pair of “sisters” switched at birth – one of which is now deaf, and they have been reunited. Intelligence was a favourite with both James and myself – curse them for cancelling that show, it is just one series but well worth watching!
Right now they have some great box sets including 10 series of Grey’s Anatomy – I remember binge watching every episode in the middle of the night when I was up with Georgie in her first months, and then repeating it with Lydia. It is definitely my go to show for comfort watching. Other shows I have loved that they have include Mad Men, Bones, True Blood, Broadchurch, and The Flash.
One thing we enjoy about Now TV is the latest shows “from America” that you get on Sky Atlantic, and also the Sky One original programming that is available. We’ve just started watching You, Me and The Apocalypse, and is great so far.
The kids love Now TV too, with shows from Nick Jr & the Disney Channel to keep them amused. Having over 150 movies in the “Disney” genre doesn’t hurt either, with everything from old Mickey mouse shorts, to Pixar blockbusters, and the sing-a-long version of Frozen (as well as the non sing-a-long one!).
There are loads of films I really want to watch on there, and it is great for curling up in bed when you’re not feeling 100%, and sticking something on to cheer myself up. If you are interested in Now TV, you can watch it through your console, computer, tablet, or buy one of their fab little boxes that are really cheap and also have iPlayer and loads of that sort of thing.
