Review: Our little Lydia is a proper girly girl, and loves to wear dresses much more than her tomboyish big sister. When we were offered a dress from Powell Craft to review, Lydia looked at all the different designs and fell in love with “the mouse one!”
This 100% cotton dress is made from a really fabulously soft to touch cord, with a woven cotton lining. The outer layer is navy blue, and the appliqué details are in bright colours and patterns.
The theme of the dress is weather; all the seasons are represented with a sun on the collar, a thundercloud & umbrella, a white fluffy cloud with a rainbow, a kite for wind. It is a really fun design and very whimsical.
The detail on this dress is really lovely, the appliqué images are really pretty and very cute. Lydia adores the mouse holding the umbrella, flying a kite. The layers of cotton and cord with lace edging makes for a really attractive hem, and the Lydia really likes the frill on the neckline.
Lydia adores this dress and can’t wait to wear it to her cousin’s birthday party this weekend! I think she looks really beautiful in it; the navy suits her colouring down to the ground.
