My Big Animal Book

Review: This hardback children’s book is perfect for Georgie at the moment, full of animal photos, simple facts & plenty of bright colours & patterns.

The first few pages of this book introduce your child to a variety of wild animals, and then the pages following give information about particular animals, with each double page spread being all about one animal.

The second section of the book talks about animals under the sea, the third introduces farm animals, and the fourth is about animals at home. Within each section there are pages dedicated to elephants, whales, cows, cats, dogs, and so on.

The facts about the animals are the most basic & simple ones; nothing too complicated for a young child to understand, and a good starting point to learn about the various creatures.

This is a lovely colourful, attractive & educational book, with a great selection of animal photos and just the right amount of information to keep a young child engaged, but not bored.

The book itself is an A4 hardback book with child-friendly pages of thin card – not too easily torn if they are turning the page with a touch too much enthusiasm

Although this book is aimed as a first reference book for 5-7 year olds, Georgie already gets a lot of enjoyment out of it & I can see it being a firm favourite for years to come.

We give “My Big Animal Book” 5 stars.
