Review: The Classic Car Show biscuit tin is a “Family tin” containing 16 or more biscuits, decorated with a classic car theme. The tin we were sent to review contained 16 biscuits all brilliantly decorated with pictures of cars, key fobs, speedometers, and steering wheels.
Each hand iced biscuit is just brilliant; the detail is incredible and the different colours and styles are beautiful. It almost feels wrong to eat them – each one is like a little piece of art! They are really perfect for classic car fans – the designs and colour choices are absolutely spot on.
These vanilla biscuits don’t just look great, they taste amazing too. My Dad visited for the weekend and munched his way through several of them, and they’ve been a big hit with everyone here.
The tin is decorated with stickers on all four sides and the lid, with fun illustrations to make the tin look like a classic car, complete with biscuiteers banners.
The biscuits were packaged really well to protect them inside the tin; it was lined well and the biscuits were secured onto each layer with icing to prevent them from moving around and getting broken. All 16 biscuits were in perfect condition upon arrival. The tin has a fairly good seal on it too, and the biscuits last several weeks without going too soft once opened, and the Biscuiteers website promises a shelf life of three months if unopened.
The only thing that gives me pause is the price – this tin of £16 biscuits costs £42.50 which is a quite expensive price point – over £2.60 per biscuit, and then you have to pay postage on top of that. I do recognise that a LOT of work goes into hand icing such brilliant biscuits though, they are made with quality ingredients, and packed in a lovely tin. 4 stars!
