Review: The girls are both Hatchimals fans, and when the opportunity to review the latest Hatchimals product came up, I couldn’t turn it down. Lydia and Georgie were really excited when these arrived and couldn’t wait to open them.

They were pretty disappointed when I promptly ended up in hospital and they had to wait until after came home, over a week later, to discover which Pixies they would get!

The Hatchimals Pixie eggs are a bit like super sized colleggtibles, with a heart on the front of the egg, which you warm up until it turns pink, and then crack the shell. The top half of the egg is soft plastic allowing you to break it into pieces, all the way down to the jagged bottom half.

Each little pixie doll comes with three accessories, a bed, and a display stand. Both girls got a headband with their pixie, and two accessories for them to hold or play with; Lydia’s pixie has a mirror and a cupcake, and Georgie’s has a teapot and teacup.
The accessories and display stand can all be stored underneath the bed piece, which slots into the bottom of egg to give your pixie a nice little place to rest.

The pixies themselves are hard plastic, with an articulated neck and flexible wings. They are super cute and glittery, with big eyes and colourful clothes and hair. Needless to say, Lydia and Georgie think they are adorable!

Lydia got ‘Crystal Camila’ from Crystal Canyon, and Georgie got ‘Glittering GiGi’ from Glittering Garden. There are eight different pixies to collect, from four different areas of the ‘Hatchtopia’, the world of Hatchimals.

As you can see, the girls are big fans of this new collectible – we give them 5 stars.
