Georgie is very busy growing her first two molars at the moment which is making her a little bit of a grumpelstiltskin! She isn’t too badly affected in the daytime thankfully; she is just being a bit more clingy than normal. At night-time, however, everything changes.
Our little darling becomes a little monster! In order to get her to go down to sleep, we administer calpol and cuddles, she has a big milk feed and is transferred to the cot while super sleepy and blissed out from the feed. So far, so good. But then several hours later while James and I are happily snoring away in our bed, we wake up to hear a very unhappy Georgie over the baby monitor. This story always ends the same way… with our little girl in our bed snuggled up to me, refusing to go back down to sleep in her room.
Every time James tries to ease her (seemingly fast asleep) little body out of our bed and down the hall into her cot she wakes up instantly and screams her head off. A LOT. So we seem to be falling into a pattern that includes there being three of us in the bed from the early hours onwards!
I must admit I love having baby cuddles. What I do not love is having a dead arm, being kicked or pinched, etc. I’m sure that we have found ourselves in most of these positions over the last few nights…
I am certainly looking forward to the night her molars have come all the way through and I get to have a peaceful night’s rest!
LOL we've done most of those positions too – and we have the tigger PJS! Hope her molars cut soon xx
Hehe thanks! James came home with the tigger PJs in 0-3 one day from Asda and was very pleased with himself, so I managed to find a pair on ebay in 9-12 as a surprise for him, cos he was so sad when she grew out of them! He buys her tigger things all the time, he has a proper soft spot for tigger clothes! His policy is that she has to always have at least one piece of tigger clothing 😛
