A few months ago I did a post about treasure baskets and how great they can be for sensory development & I thought I would post a quick update with the contents of our basket. We keep our treasure basket in our bedroom so that Georgie gets to play with it as a treat when she is ‘visiting’ our room – it’s really great for keeping her entertained when I am sorting out laundry and things like that!
As I keep finding things new things to put in to keep the contents “fresh” what is inside our basket changes with time, but at the moment this is what Georgie has to play with:
- Bamboo hairbrush
- Wooden spoon
- Wooden pastry brush
- Sponge
- Cardboard drinks holder
- Blue mesh fabric
- Camouflage fleece fabric
- Shiny crinkle fabric (replacement from grandma because..)
- Deconstructed Shiny crinkle fabric (…this bit has been separated into the plasticky crinkle bit & the thin fabric bit after lots of play)
- White lacy fabric
- Plastic baby coat hanger
- Blue mesh shower washing thing with a penguin head
