I was tagged in the 11 Questions Meme by Mummylish who came up with a rather fab set of questions for her fellow bloggers to answer!
The idea of the 11 Questions Meme is that you are given a set of 11 questions to answer by a fellow blogger, and then once you have answered them you have to think up 11 questions of your own to ask 11 other bloggers. Fun stuff! Here are my answers…
1. Do you collect anything? If so, what?
Other than amassing a rather large collection of books and mystery jigsaws, the only things I collect are fridge magnets and foreign coins. I don’t go out of my way to collect either of these things though – both collections are added to when we go places.
When James and I got together, we both had a little pot of foreign coins – change left over from holidays and field trips, as well as a few each that were given to us as children by various people. These separate collections were mixed together and, since our honeymoon, have been kept in a little ceramic bowl that I painted while we were in Mexico.
Our fridge magnet collection was started when we got together – we started picking up magnets as cheap souvenirs when we visited places & I love that I can now look at our fridge and there are mementos of fantastic holidays, our wedding, honeymoon & even fun day trips. The latest addition was put on the fridge this morning – a blue paw print magnet to celebrate Georgie’s first Crufts!

2. Where in the world would you like to visit and why?
I would love to visit both Australia and New Zealand. I have friends and family in both countries, and am about a quarter Kiwi myself so it would be good to see where my Grandmother was born! They both look like such beautiful countries and I would love to visit the people I know and/or am related to sometime! Unfortunately both countries are crippingly expensive to visit and involve a LOT of travel. Something for the bucket list, I think!
3. Today I really should ___________?
Start packing for the weekend! We are leaving early on Saturday morning to go to Wales for the weekend, to celebrate my grandparents diamond wedding anniversary. That’s 60 years of wedded bliss, impressive stuff! I will probably do most of the packing tomorrow but I need to start getting things together tonight really, because I will be busy all morning with my breastfeeding buddies class, and then Georgie usually takes up most of my afternoons afterwards because she feels the need to demand my full attention after being ignored/abandoned all morning!
4. Who is number one on your “allowed list”?
Easy! Johnny Depp.
5. If you could do any job in the world what would it be?
I’ve no idea! That is a really tough question. I absolutely adore being a Mum. Something along the lines of a breastfeeding support worker at the local hospital would be good once Georgie (and any further kids) are at school, if the web design doesn’t work out. There are a couple of interesting vacancies along this line at the moment, which our trainer has emailed us, so I know that there is a possibility down the line for it!
6. Countryside or city life?
Countryside.. but not too rural! At the moment we live in a built up area and I do miss the country, but I love the easy transport links and the ability to walk to a supermarket if I need to! Somewhere like I grew up would be good – a large village with frequent buses to the local town and a few shops to pick the essentials up at.
7. What is your favourite flavour crisp?
It’s probably a toss up between Walkers tomato ketchup flavour & McCoys cheddar & onion. Both are delicious! Yum.
8. What is the funniest search term someone used to find your blog?
Breasticles!
9. Radio 1 or Radio 2?
Radio 1, though I barely listen to the radio these days – just in the car. I used to listen to it all day at work though, I think it helped me get through the days!!
10. What is the first word that comes into your mind when you see the word “tree”?
Octopus.
11. What is your favourite spot in your house?
It used to be our bedroom in the old house as it was my sanctuary, but now we have moved and we have had Georgie I much prefer sitting in the living room. We have super comfy sofas and it’s a pleasant room to sit in – plus it’s great for people watching as it has a big window I sit by! We got rid of the coffee table and so there is loads of space for Georgie to play now.
