Review: Am I the only one that remembers those dolls that you could turn upside down and flip the skirt over to turn them into another doll? FlipaZoo is a new, much cuter, take on that concept, with animals that transform to a different creature with a quick flip.

We were sent three different products from the new range; a set of mini figures, an 8″ plush, and a 16″ plush. Both Lydia and Georgiana were delighted with them and really like the way they can flip from one animal to another.

There are two four packs of mini figures available, as well as various play sets, flip pods, and vehicles. In our pack, we got:
- Penguin into Walrus
- Turtle into pink Hedgehog
- Red Seal into rainbow Dolphin
- Purple Polar Bear into pink Husky

Georgie adores penguins so she was over the moon to get a penguin toy!
The small mini figures are made from plastic, with a silicone type flippable bit, that transforms them from one animal to another with a quick flip.

The plush toys work the same way as the small mini figures – the “back” of the animal flips over to cover the head, which changes it from one animal to another. The flippable two sided back conceals the head of the other animal – it’s really very cleverly done.

The two plush toys we got were the 8″ red dragon that turns into a panda, and the 16″ elephant that turns into a tiger. The small plush is a reasonable size to take along with you, while the larger one is so squishy and lovely to cuddle. Lydia has unsurprisingly claimed both of these, being a total addict to anything cute, soft and cuddly.
We all really like these products and the way they change between animals is really simple and effective. It’s really easy to flip the back over – such a clever design. The double sided feet are a nice touch too.

These plushes are super soft, well made and adorable with lots of little details. The larger one came away with us on holiday last week, too – Lydia likes to travel with a possy of soft toys to cuddle and play with.

It wasn’t long after opening up the parcel with these in before the kids were busy playing imaginary games with their FlipaZoo animals – which seemed to involve the plushes giving the micro figure rides on their backs around the living room.

They are definitely fans of these new products, and so am I. 5 stars for these innovative toys – which give you two animals for the price of one!
