We had a rather busy (and very tiring) weekend, but it was full of good things. Here are a few of the things we got up to in the two days…
Saturday morning we headed to a local NCT sale to pick up some bargains for Georgie & baby no 2. We didn’t see much we loved for Squidge, just a nice snowsuit which I have already earmarked to use for the journey home from hospital (it’s going to be cold in Feb!). Georgie did a lot better with a pile of new tops, PJs, an In the Night Garden duvet set, dvd boxset* (still brand new in the shrink-wrap!) & Makka Pakka soft toy.
Can you tell she’s an In the Night Garden fan?
We put the duvet set on her bed a few nights ago and it was so cute how excited she got! She couldn’t wait to climb on her bed and kept poking Upsy Daisy in the face.
Saturday afternoon Becca & Nic, two good friends of mine, arrived and we spent the rest of the day chilling out watching bad TV, chatting and eating junk food.
Sunday morning the five of us headed to Cadbury World for a few hours of yumminess and fun. Georgie absolutely adored it and was completely fascinated by the factory and several of the exhibitions. She spent quite a bit of the time there out of the pushchair, walking between Becca & Nic, clinging onto each of them by their respective index fingers.
During the packaging plant tour, she kept stopping to rest her nose on the bottom of the window and stare at the chocolate being wrapped & boxed. Going up the stairs was a little embarrassing but hilarious at the same time; Georgie was determined to walk up herself (holding onto B & N still), and by the time we got to the top of the two flights there was a bit of a slightly exasperated yet slightly amused queue of people behind us… oops.

After a visit to the shop (of course!) and lunch in the cafe, we headed to my MILs to visit the dogs. A tiring weekend, but a very good one! It was exactly what I needed after the last month or so of being a bit of a social hermit thanks to being so tired! I haven’t managed to have a decent nights sleep yet though, so I’m still feeling pretty exhausted, but it was worth it. The only fly in the ointment was a third guest was supposed to join us but was too ill to make it down… so we put together a CW goody bag for her instead 🙂
