I noticed this on mrsslummymummy’s blog & thought I’d have a go myself! I love memes like this, they get you writing about random stuff and I find reading other people’s satisfies my nosey streak beautifully!
ANORAK…Do you have a sad side? I’m a bit addicted to jigsaws, which is a bit of a weird hobby these days. My brother-in-law called me jigsaw yoda once, because I’m a bit freaky with them when I have the picture to hand (pick up a piece, look at piece, look at picture, place piece pretty much exactly where it goes). I have to play mystery jigsaws with no picture provided if I want a decent challenge!
BODY…What physical attribute would you most like to change? Um, probably my weight, although it doesn’t bother me too much. I’m losing weight gradually at the moment which is good for health reasons, if nothing else! I used to be quite ill with headaches & migraines which meant I spent a lot of time in bed exhausted and/or ill.
CELEBRITY…Which one would you most like to date and why? I have a bit of a thing for James McAvoy. Yum.
DEBUT …Tell us about your first ever blog post. What made you start blogging? I have no idea what my first blog post said, because I started blogging when I was about 14 or 15 – it’s been at least 10 years, over several different blogs! I’ve always found it a really enjoyable form of writing, and it has helped me through some tough times, to be able to write my thoughts down & share them with the great void of the internet!
ERROR …What’s been your biggest regret? I’m not keen on the ideas of regrets, because everything I’ve done has led to who I am now, and the life I lead. I ended up not enjoying my degree much, or using it.. but if I hadn’t done it I wouldn’t have the life experiences I gained at that university, doing that course – and I wouldn’t have learned the lessons I did.
FUNNY – who’s making you laugh? Georgie makes me laugh every day – her reactions to the world around her are hilarious, especially how she watches the dog and tries to play with her whenever she comes into arm’s reach!
GRAND…If we gave you one right now what would you spend it on? I’d probably be grown up and put it in the savings account… and then cave when the new iPhone comes out and spend it on that!
HOLIDAY… What’s your favourite destination? I haven’t been to many non-UK places – in fact the only proper holiday abroad I’ve ever had was my honeymoon to Mexico, which was completely magical.
IRRITATE… What’s your most annoying habit? I asked James this one.. he says I fiddle with the battery covers on our remote controls too much, taking them on and off, on and off, on and off…!
JOKER…Whats your favourite joke {the one that makes you laugh everytime you hear it}? Um. I’m a bit addicted to the Big Bang Theory at the moment, so any of the plays on the “knock knock knock, Penny” (x3) joke amuse me. James has started knock knock knock “zoe”-ing (x3) at me which I find hilarious!
KENNEL… Do you have any pets? Yes, we have a dog, Homily – she is an adorable yet stupid Norwich Terrier. She has her own website.
LOVE…Are you single, married, engaged, living with a long term partner? I’m married – we will celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary on the 12th December this year! It has gone so quickly!
MEAL… Whats your ultimate starter, main and dessert? Starter would have to be prawn cocktail – I’m a sucker for a good prawn cocktail (and no skimping on the prawns!). Main is probably a good steak with chips, onion rings, mushrooms & a corn on the cob, though you could probably substitute a good quality cheeseburger for the steak and I’d be happy. My favourite dessert, to top it all off, is banoffee pie. I really love banoffee pie. Damn it, now I want some.
NOW…If you could be anywhere right now where would you be and who with? Um, it would probably be with James & Georgie – and as I’m with them as I answer this particular question I’m happy with that! Plus I’m in bed right now so that’s one of my favourite places anyway! So here is just fine.
OFF DUTY…What do you do in your spare time? I read, watch tv, do jigsaws (only occasionally these days), crafty stuff, and most of all browse on the internet or blog!
PROUD MOMENTS …What are you most proud of? Being this “grown up” person I always wanted to end up being – married, and a very happy mum! At one point I thought I would never be able to have this life, and I’m so pleased my dream came true!
QUEASY …What turns your stomach? Any references to rape or sexual abuse.
RELAX…How do you relax? Reading! A good book can transport me to a different world, where there are almost always happy endings 😀
SONG…Whats your favourite song of all time? Probably Mr. Jones by Counting Crows, it always fills me with such joy. Though I also love Colorblind and Accidentally in Love.
TIME …If you could go back in time and relive it again, when would you choose? Probably my wedding day & honeymoon – they were amazing!
UNKNOWN…Tell us something about yourself that no one else knows? I have a secret love of Next Top Model shows. The only person who knows that is James, because he occasionally catches me watching them (and I have them set on series link sometimes!)
VOCAL…. Who is your favourite artist? My absolute favourite is Adam Duritz, Counting Crows. Though I also love Matchbox 20, Taylor Swift, The Glee Cast & Buddy Holly
WORK….. What is your dream job, and are you doing it now? I want to have my own web design business that I can build up around my most important job of being a great mum – I’m working on it! I’ve done some jobs and am building up a good portfolio at the moment.
XRAY…Any broken bones? I broke my wrist in a roller blading accident involving the kid next door when I was a teenager. He decided he wanted to play tag with me, when I was facing away from him, downhill, on roller blades. He slammed into me, I slammed into the pavement, rolled over a few times and ended up with my hand at a very weird angle. Ouch! I also broke my nose in primary school by, um, walking into a wall. A few days after I’d already broken it once by falling over and not putting my hands out in front of me. D’oh!
YIKES…What’s been your most embarrassing moment? Probably when my Dad told all my wedding guests during his speech that I (a) went to an air cadets camp once without clean knickers, and (b) started a small fire with candles in their newly tiled bathroom once. That was more embarrassing than the incidents themselves!
ZOO…. If you were an animal, which one would you be? A cat. I’d like to be able to sleep all day, get cuddles & food when I want, yet also retain the ability to be independent and get grumpy with my pet human. Dogs don’t do the last bit.
