A morning at Sea Life Great Yarmouth

Home Days Out A morning at Sea Life Great Yarmouth

While we were on holiday last week we took a day trip up the coast to Great Yarmouth, to visit the Sea Life centre there. As any regular reader will know the girls love the Sea Life centre, and as our role as Birmingham ambassadors we have season passes that allow us to visit any centre in the UK.

The Great Yarmouth Sea Life Centre is right on the seafront, with a car park a minute walk away. It has a great variety of sea creatures to explore, and lots to see and do. The girls loved the Penguins, Bay of Rays, and the Terrapins.

The Jellyfish area at Great Yarmouth is really nice, with painted jellyfish glowing on the walls under the UV light as you walk through. The Turtle Shelter area is great too, and the girls both enjoyed Nemo’s Cave which is filled with beautiful colourful fish.

For the first time ever, Georgie touched a starfish in the rock pool area – something she has always been too nervous to do at the Birmingham centre!

The walk around the centre ends with the gift shop, a decent sized play area, and a cafe – so you can send the kids into the soft play frame while you wait for your food to arrive, handy. The kids meals were free, which made it great value – and the food was pretty decent.

It was definitely an enjoyable morning and it was great to visit another centre and see what they had swimming around in their tanks.
