One thing the girls have missed during lockdown is visiting our local Sea Life Centre in Birmingham. We have been lucky enough to to be blogger ambassadors for the centre for years now, so the girls have grown up visiting the centre regularly and both have their favourite sea creatures they say hello to every time we visit.
(Ad – ambassadors) It’s the half term holiday, so of course the girls were eager to go and check out what was going on at one of their favourite places in Birmingham; the Sea Life Centre. We had James’s dad visiting for a few days, so we took him along with us, and the girls were excited to be able to show him all of their favourite sea creatures!
Last weekend we popped into town for a morning, checking out the Grand Opening event at our new LEGO store, picking up a few last minute Christmas bits from our ridiculously large Primark- and of course popping in to LEGOLAND Discovery Centre and sea life to check out their Christmas events! During the half term break, we popped into Sea Life Birmingham for a morning to check out the LEGO Sea Explorers event, and the girls were also excited to get their first glimpse of the new baby penguin chick.
Earlier this week we were invited along to the VIP launch event for the brand new state-of-the-art multi million pound marine mammal rescue centre at our local Sea Life centre here in Birmingham. As regular visitors to the centre, we knew something big was happening – a large area of the centre had been closed …
Last weekend we spent a morning enjoying some time at one of the kids’ favourite places, the Birmingham Sea Life Centre, which is currently looking pretty festive for their Christmas event! You can visit Santa in his grotto (included in the standard ticket price) and enjoy a Christmas film in the 4D cinema.
Earlier this week the girls and I headed into the city centre to check out Sea Life’s half term offering; the Halloween inspired “Ascarium” complete with a Sea Witch and a hunt for her missing spell ingredients.
At the weekend we headed into town to visit the National Sea Life Centre in Birmingham. We have been ambassadors for the Birmingham centre for several years now, and I’m delighted to report that we’ve been invited to continue for a further year! Georgie and Lydia were delighted by this news, as they really enjoy our visits.
Sea Life Birmingham have a new attraction this spring, and it is ethereally beautiful – the jellyfish have a brand new (bigger and better!) area inside the centre, after the old jellyfish area was replaced by the piranha tank we blogged about recently.
