It’s been a busy week for us and on Tuesday the girls and I headed to Leicester to visit Next HQ to take a look at the Summer kids range they have on offer this year.
The event was really great; the PR team really looked after us bloggers, and the children too. There were loads of toys and activities for the children to enjoy, drinks & snacks to munch on, and lots of beautiful clothes for us to look at.
Among my favourite items for girls are this Peppa Pig Tutu Swimsuit, Red Embroidered Cat Top and matching Embellished Cotton Jacket, and Fluro Coral Daisy Duck Top. For boys the variety of t-shirts are all great, in particular a “Mr Croc and Friends” goes camping one, and these Finding Nemo and Batman Sunsafe Suits.
We got a sneak peek of the Autumn range too, and I can tell you it’s gorgeous – but I’m not allowed to share any photos with you, sorry!
While I was happily browsing the amazing “mock shop” the two girls had fun alternating between playing with the toys and the other children, and running about the place at high speed. Lydia was determined to try and escape through the only open door, I felt so sorry for the Next guy having to try and guard the door from the escape attempts.
After we finished looking at all the clothes, we headed to Cinis, a local restaurant, to have a really nice lunch. We took over the entire place, and the older kids were allowed to head into the kitchen to make their own pizzas. It was a chaotic but lovely end to the day, and overall we had a tiring but wonderful time.
The kids were delighted with a goody bag each, with a pair of sunglasses and a poncho towel in each, and I am looking forward to spending a £30 voucher they very kindly gave me as a thank you for attending.
