Both our girls are Disney fans – as are Janes and myself! So, being invited to go along to see Disney on Ice at the Genting Arena was a big treat…
This latest Disney on Ice show celebrates a quarter-century of Disney tales. As well as Mickey Mouse & his friends, characters from Frozen, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, and Peter Pan all feature in this show.
The costumes were just fantastic; with amazing animal costumes for The Lion King, colourful fish for The Little Mermaid, and of course beautiful princess dresses for Frozen. Georgie & Lydia were delighted to see Tinkerbell, too.
As I have come to expect from Feld Entertainment’s Disney on lce shows, the standard of skating was superb. I didn’t notice any calls & the (very) odd stumble was quickly recovered.
For those who saw the last tour, which also included The Little Mermaid and Frozen, there is no need to be worried about repetition with this show. Although those two stories are featured again, the staging & choreography is not the same on this tour.
As you can see from my video & photos, it is a really magical and captivating show. It lasts around two hours with a break halfway through, which is a great length for kids – not too long and with a chance to run to the loo and sort out snacks in the middle.
It is honestly worth going to see just for the beautiful skating & wonderful Disney music – even if I didn’t have kids in tow I would adore it!
