If you want to take your Dad out for a fun day this Sunday, why not go down to the National Sea Life Centre Birmingham – Dads go Free on Father’s Day (19th June) when accompanying a full paying guest*.

Why have they chosen seahorse, you might ask? Well, it is because the male seahorse is a “parenting champion” – they give birth to the young, not the female – after incubating the female’s eggs in a special stomach pouch for around 25 days. Several hundred babies can be produced in a single pregnancy, and sometimes up to a thousand!
The Sea Life Centre is home to a huge variety of creatures from all over the world, including a wonderful variety of seahorses. There are over 2,000 creatures, including sharks, otters, an octopus, rays, crabs and much more – including Georgie & Lydia’s favourite, the Gentoo penguins.
