It’s been a bit of an odd week

Home Chit Chat It’s been a bit of an odd week

Poor Georgie has been ill this week, and to be honest I don’t think there is a single person in the house that is 100% well. There seem to be so many bugs about at the moment, and James was off work on Monday as he felt so tired and grotty.

Definitely drooping!

Georgie has been all pale and floppy, with small moments of energy followed by the need to lay down on the sofa for half an hour. Lydia isn’t quite herself either, being content to snuggle up a lot with her big sis  on the sofa and just flake out watching their favourite TV and films. On the plus side, the living room is quite tidy as the pair of them haven’t the energy to mess it up too much!

As for me, I’m pretty shattered too. James has been having quite a few seizures at night lately and they are exhausting for both of us, plus I’ve had Georgie in with me (with her Daddy kicked out to the spare room!) the last two nights, as she kept waking up sobbing on her own. It’s been two quite disturbed nights, with her coughing loads and wriggling about like mad. My health has been worrying both James and I lately, and although I am still trying to stay in denial about it, the chronic headaches and migraines that I suffered with a lot before having kids are definitely worsening again.

The work side of life has been great though. I’m still behind on ALL my emails (sorry, everyone!!!), but I have completed Kate Fever’s new design. I’ll be putting it live soon, and I’m really pleased with it. I’ve had to close my waiting list on new designs for a while, although I’ll still be taking on support work, and designing media packs and business cards.

I’ve had some great news on the blogging side of things, too, and we’ve also been enjoying everything we got at the Baby Show, as well as a few review items we’ve had recently. We’ve had a few lovely parcels this week, including that bundle of knitting goodness from Black Sheep Wools – I’m determined to get started with that over half term.

Hopefully everyone will be feeling “all the way better” as Georgie puts it by the weekend – we’re looking forward to Geronimo festival! I have to admit I’m pleased we opted for Sunday tickets as it gives us an extra day to all get over the lurgy first.
