Lo and Becold – Rolled ice cream!

Home Days Out Lo and Becold – Rolled ice cream!

Last week we spent a day in the city centre, having lunch with a friend, visiting the Think Tank, and doing a spot of shopping. After lunch we headed to pop up shop Lo and Becold in Link Street, Bullring – for some amazing rolled ice cream!

I paid £9.00 and ordered a Batoffee Popcorn for myself and a Make Your Own for the girls to share. After some discussion the girls opted for sprinkles, rainbow drops, and milk chocolate chops – with plenty of sauce too. The folk at Lo and Becold were kind enough to split the girls’ rolled ice cream into two tubs to make sharing easier!

My Batoffee Popcorn had fresh banana, toffee popcorn, mini fudge cubes and salted caramel sauce – and it was delicious. The vanilla ice cream they use as a base is really good quality and very yummy.

Detta went for a Cookie Crumble and said it was very tasty, with crushed oreo cookie, milk chocolate chips & Hersheys chocolate syrup.

I found the process of making the ice cream on the cold plate fascinating – I could watch it all day, and I’d love to have a go myself! Making them this way lets them mix sprinkles etc right into the ice cream, and they add sauce before rolling so that it is spiralled into the ice cream which makes for a tasty experience!

Lo and Becold should be at the Bullring for a few more weeks at least so make sure you go and check them out! They are located in the link between Grand Central and the Bullring, so easily accessible from the train station & anywhere in the city centre really. It’s the perfect treat if you’re in town for some sleuthing, too.
