Rating: (5/5 stars) Review: We were sent a selection of Illustration by Abi products earlier this year and I feel bad as I am so late posting this review – by the way I’m so fed up of being ill! – but we love these products. Abi sent us a gorgeous 100% cotton tote bag with illustrations of different dog breeds, a greeting card with different breeds of terrier, and a set of four terrier drinks coasters. All of the products are really high quality – well made from good materials, and with high-grade printing of the illustrations. My Mother in Law is a Norwich Terrier breeder with a handful of dogs that she also occasionally shows, and we have two Norwich Terriers at home too. We gave her the greeting card and coasters as we knew she would enjoy them, and I kept the dog tote bag because you can never have enough good reusable bags! Abi’s products all feature her hand drawn illustrations of dogs and cats, and make perfect gifts for pet owners and animal lovers. Both the greeting card and the coasters feature different well-known breeds of terrier. The tote bag is white, with long blank handles, is well sewn, and has the print – of different breeds of dog – on both sides of the bag. It’s nice and strong, and comfortable to carry around. This good sized bag has become my ‘go bag’ for around the house – I pop things like my iPad, planner, pencil case, kindle and so on in it so I can carry everything around easily. I also took it on holiday with us recently and got some compliments on it. I really like Abi’s illustrations, they are quirky and full of character, and if you are familiar with the different breeds it is easy to identify each one. Abi’s greeting cards are printed on nice thick 300gsm card and supplied with a recycled kraft paper envelope. They measure 15cm square and are blank inside you you can write your own message inside. The terrier greeting card Abi sent us includes a range of different popular breeds of terrier, all wonderfully illustrated, and with some of the breeds listed along the bottom of the card. The third product we were sent was this set of four 10cm terrier coasters, which are wooden backed with a nice & tough wipe clean surface. They feel really hard wearing and look great, too. Each coaster is identical, featuring a number of different breeds of terrier. My only criticism of this product is that because of the number of dogs on it, each illustration is pretty small. Looking at the listing on her Etsy shop she has revised this product with 12 illustrations on instead of 20, which looks great and solves this issue. As you can tell we really like these products, and I have been eyeing up half the things in Abi’s store too. As well as these products, Abi also sells place mats, notebooks, chopping boards, prints, and all sorts of things that would make perfect gifts for cat or dog lovers – including yourself! We give these products 5 stars.
Abi worked on a card design for my business as a dog groomer, it had my three Springer spaniels in the design and I loved it and so did my clients at Christmas.
Abi is extremely easy to work with and very professional at what she does.
I also stock all her cards in my salon and they go down a treat with my clients.
