Over the last few months, Georgie has become more & more enthusiastic about soft play centres. She is that little bit taller, that little bit braver, and a lot more monkey-like than she used to be, and so where she used to just play on the small toddler areas at these sorts of places, she is now impatient to be clambering up into the big frames.
Just before we moved we went to the Jitterbugs soft play centre and met up with some friends there. Georgie dismissed the toddler area and favoured running around at high speed with her friends and, whenever I was suckered into climbing up there to help them up the hardest bit, doing circuits of the climbing frame – climbing up, and shooting down the slide, usually with her friend D in the slide next to her saying “come on Georgie!”
D declared “Georgie is the best climber I have EVER seen” to her mum, which made us giggle a bit!
As well as a few trips to Jitterbugs, James & I took her to a few soft play centres while we were on our various holidays after Lydia was born. Our little madam is definitely a convert to the concept! Jitterbugs will still be one of the closest now that we’ve moved, so it will be a good excuse to come and meet up with our friends.
