…and Georgie is determined to explore & climb on it all! Our little monkey has recently shot up another inch and it seems to have made all the difference of what she can climb onto – and reach!

In the last few weeks she has discovered she can climb on the spare room bed, on the living room sofas & the futon sofa in the front room, on chairs and onto the side of her travel cot… and of course, up the stairs at a fairly rapid pace! Nothing seems to be off limits from her explorations and in her mind she could probably scale a mountain if she found one. She also figured out how to stand up in shopping trolley seats when they don’t have straps… eek!
As she gets more confident moving around she is also being more daring in where she goes – today she headed out the open back door on her own for the first time, whereas usually she is quite happy to sit in the open doorway looking out at our little yard of concrete & crazy paving. She even climbed over the short wall instead of taking the steps, like a sensible person might.

She has had remarkably few tumbles and falls since the transformation from baby to monkey – once off the sofa in the living room, and another fall off the futon sofa in the front room. She now lets herself off backwards so that was a lesson quickly learnt! She is incredibly sure footed at times whilst clambering around, considering she can’t walk more than a step or two yet.
Needless to say, this increased mobility has caused another flurry of baby safing and rearranging! My iPhone isn’t safe on the back of the sofa anymore! *sobs*
