We went to a family wedding this weekend & Georgie got lots and lots of attention! Thankfully she behaved pretty well, which was a big relief – as she has started teething I was a little worried that her teeth would bother her at some point and she’d start to get a little grumpy. As it was, she was a little sweetheart, and got lots of cuddles with various family members over the weekend. The wedding itself was a huge success, with a beautiful bride, scrumptious food, gorgeous locations & everything seeming to go without a hitch!

It was lovely for Georgie’s Great Granny and Great Grandfather to be able to see her, as they live in Northumberland and have only met her once before. There was also lots of family there that had never met her, so it was lovely to be able to introduce them all to the newest member of the family!

Charlie & Isabel (the happy couple) arranged for a nanny to babysit their two baby guests during the ceremony and wedding breakfast – she was really lovely but I couldn’t help feeling a touch neurotic the whole time Georgie was in the hands of a stranger! I have never left her with someone she doesn’t know before, so I wasn’t sure how well it was going to work out. Luckily she slept through most of the ceremony and then I was able to feed her right before the meal so she was settled nicely for Katy. I am glad that the first time leaving her with someone is over & done with though; now when I need to leave her with a babysitter for the first time I hopefully won’t be too panicky!

We got lots of compliments on Georgie’s outfit, and I was very impressed (and relieved!) that it lasted the whole day… We did have to change her vest and tights at various points throughout but the dress and cardie escaped all accidents untouched! I had her dressed in a pretty purple Monsoon dress & Next cardigan that we picked up for less than £2 total in an NCT sale a few months ago – that’s what I call a bargain.

Everyone was pretty tired out on Sunday, and I’m pretty sure Georgie slept for twice as much as normal during the day, even though she had slept well in her travel cot both nights… even if she did decide that it was much better to sleep across the cot not along it, both nights!
