Cuticura

The folks over at Cuticura kindly sent us a lovely parcel filled with goodies from their range of anti-bacterial soaps and hand gels, as well as a ‘paint your own mug’ kit and ‘design your own card’ kit for Georgie to get crafty with. This “crafty creations” charity campaign from Cuticura supports The Princes Foundation for Children and The Arts.

“Engaging with a variety of the arts from a young age has a hugely positive effect on children; nurturing vital skills like self-esteem, confidence and communication. By learning through play, we give children the best opportunity to learn, grow and achieve,” – Jeremy Newton, Chief Executive of The Prince’s Foundation for Children and the Arts.

Georgie got a glimpse of the mug kit waiting on my desk for the weekend and got very excited about the prospect of painting a mug to give to me! This morning, James took her into our kitchen and they sat amongst the boxes and half-dismantled kitchen units and got themselves, the tablecloth, and hopefully the mug covered in paint!

SAMSUNG CSC Unfortunately we are currently without a working oven so I will have to wait a week before we can bake the painted masterpiece, so I won’t be drinking my morning coffee in bed from my new mug tomorrow morning. I’ll just have to enjoy a tasty breakfast in bed without it *hint hint* .

Georgie loves stickers and so the ‘design your own card’ idea is great for small children her age; she can express her creativity and come up with a recognisable design by arranging the stickers how she wants.

I busied myself hanging out the washing and playing with Lydia so I have no idea what the finished mug or card look like! James is adding the photos to this post after I have finished writing it, and I have promised not to look until after I have seen it tomorrow!

From what I could hear they were laughing and chatting away, and Georgie told me afterwards that she had a lot of fun, so that’s good. She always seems to blossom when she has the chance to be creative and have free reign over what she is drawing or painting.

As well as the crafty kits we were sent a lovely selection of Cuticura products to try out, so look out for my review of those soon!
