Exploring the garden, and beyond

Home Chit Chat Exploring the garden, and beyond

After a week of bad weather and waiting inside for deliveries, the girls and I headed outside yesterday to explore our garden, and take a short walk around the area.

The garden is lovely; although it is not huge the previous owner filled with with flowering plants and spring bulbs, so we have daffodils in the front & back gardens, as well as other flowers & pretty plants.

The girls enjoyed a go on the see-saw before we headed out the back gate to explore the green patches near our new house.

We only went for a very short walk, around the block with a detour around the grassy areas, but it took a long time. This is because Lydia, at 13 months old, walked the entire thing, pretty much. I picked her up where it was necessary for safety but that was it.

She fell over a lot, but she was very stubborn and refused any help; she just kept getting back up again and toddling along with the biggest smile on her face!

We may not have been outside for long but it did the girls & I a world of good to get a dose of crisp fresh air, and to stretch our legs. It’s lovely that we have such generous grassed areas near our house, in addition to the park which is just a minute or two away in the other direction!

We got to know our garden a little bit better, too. 🙂
