Ad disclosure: I was gifted these items to try out as part of National Stationery Week, and this post represents my honest opinions.
This year I was asked to be a National Stationery Week blogger, and to help spread the word about great stationery that gets people inspired to write and create amazing things. As part of this I’ve been sent several bits & pieces to try out, so I thought I’d let you know how I’ve been using them to get organised, and why I’ve been getting back to writing instead of just typing.

The Zebra Z-Grip pens are ridiculously smooth to write with (don’t forget to enter my giveaway), and I’ve also been really enjoying my new Sheaffer VFM Series ballpoint pen too.

I had a rather fun Minnie Mouse pen in my Florida Tix goodie bag so that has also been added to the pen pot that lives on my desk.

For note-taking, I have been using a combination of my Filofax, one of my many notebooks (I was sent a Nu Elite notebook to try out which is just gorgeous – soft touch cover and nice quality paper), and The Dodo Jotter which I am in love with.

A Maped eraser and automatic pencil sit next to the jotter for quick notes. That pencil is magic, the lead automatically eases out as you write, so no blunt pencil and no click-click-clicking to make it work.

I seriously need more of those Maped Black’Peps pencils. Maybe one in every colour? I’m really impressed with the Maped Advanced gel scissors too, really comfortable to use and super sharp.
So there you go, those are my recent favourites for working at my desk. I’m finding that writing things down as opposed to just typing them is helping me to remember them – especially to do lists – and helps me to focus my mind on what I’m doing. I love using the auto pencil as it is always sharp and I can erase it if I get it wrong! The Jotter pad is ideal as I can scribble right on my desk – random hex codes for colours and a quick to-do for later.

I’ve religiously used the Dodo Acadpad for the last five years but I’d not spotted their Jotter before. Love it!
