Rating: (4/5 stars) Review: The girls have been using reusable water bottles to school since primary school and have continued this habit at high school. In the warm weather, an insulated bottle is ideal for keeping them cool, making this personalised option from Boutique Gifts a great choice for the back-to-school shopping list this summer. The 500ml size is big enough for them to drink throughout a double lesson without being too big or unwieldy to carry around all day. Most schools, including their own, have refill stations available, so they don’t need to carry a large bottle alongside their already heavy backpacks. The website offers a variety of personalised bottle options, and Lydia particularly liked the simplicity and elegance of this choice. It’s available with both blue or pink text options, but we opted for black text to create a stylish monochrome look on top of the glossy white finish of the bottle. Having her name on the bottle also reduces the risk of it getting lost or confused with another classmate’s bottle, eliminating the need to scribble it on with a Sharpie or resort to a label that will peel off over time. The customisation allows for up to 11 characters, so even if your child has a longer name, you can still personalise this bottle. The double-wall design keeps drinks cool (or warm, if used for a hot drink) and, combined with the screw-on lid, ensures it’s leak-proof and easy to sling into a bag without worry. While you can find plain water bottles of this size and style cheaper online, including personalised options, I’m knocking off a star for being a bit pricey. Despite this, it’s a lovely water bottle that looks great, and is perfect for taking to school. Lydia says: I think the design on the bottle is beautiful, while also being subtle. The personalised name gives it a lovely touch and the font is wonderfully elegant. Along with the nice design, it is also very practical and perfect for long days out the house and for school.
