A cross stitched birthday card is a quick and easy small project that can mean a lot to the recipient. I’ve designed five different rectangular cross stitch patterns for birthday cards, with varying themes and styles. Hopefully, you’ll find something here for any age, gender, or personality.

I stitched up each design and used rectangular aperture cards from Amazon to finish them off. Alternatively, you could fray the edges and stick your finished design onto plain cards.
Each pattern is designed to suit an A6 card size, with a finished design size of 6.7 x 11.4 cm on 14-count aida, and 5.9 x 10 cm on 16-count aida.

Each PDF pattern includes a mockup picture of the finished design, a full colour and a black & white version of the pattern chart, and a list of DMC thread colours used in the pattern.

Let me know if you’d like more of this kind of cross stitch pattern – they were really fun to create!
